The technical SEO checklist Indian businesses actually need.

Most SEO advice is written for content teams with budgets. For a clinic, a firm, a store or a growing service business, the highest-return work is more basic and more permanent: making sure Google can find, read, trust and rank the site you already have. This is technical SEO, and unlike ads, its results compound instead of resetting every month.

1. Get indexed properly

2. Pass the speed test — on a phone

Google ranks the mobile version of your site, and most of your visitors are on one. Test with PageSpeed Insights and treat the mobile score as the real one. The usual fixes: compress and properly size images, remove unused scripts, avoid heavy page builders, and serve from a CDN. Sites we build hold page weight under a strict budget precisely because speed is the one ranking factor you fully control.

3. Local SEO: where small businesses win

For "near me" and city-level searches, the Maps pack above the results gets most of the clicks. Winning it is systematic: a complete Google Business Profile with correct categories and hours, consistent name-address-phone across the web, genuine reviews with owner responses, and a website that names your area and services in its headings and structured data. This is the exact system behind results like our Apex Dental case — first Maps position in a quarter.

4. Structured data: tell Google what you are

Schema markup (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, Article) is machine-readable context that unlocks rich results — stars, FAQs, sitelinks. It takes an hour to add to a well-built site and quietly upgrades how every listing looks in search.

5. Content that matches real queries

You don't need a blog post every day. You need one page per thing you sell, written around the phrase a customer actually types, plus a handful of genuinely useful guides that earn authority. Ten pages that each answer one query beat a hundred posts that answer none.

The order to do it in

Indexing first, speed second, local third, schema fourth, content forever. Skip the order and you'll publish content Google can't crawl on a site it doesn't trust. Follow it and each layer multiplies the last — which is why we build the first four layers into every site before it ships.
